Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani Calls for Muslim Unity Against Israeli Atrocities in Gaza
Recent events in Gaza have prompted Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani to call for Muslim nations to unite against Israel’s genocidal war on the Gaza Strip. In a statement issued on Saturday, the prominent Shia cleric condemned the Zionist regime’s “barbaric behavior” and urged Muslims to come together to stop the ongoing genocide in Gaza. He specifically criticized Israel’s attack on a school in Gaza City, describing it as a “wholesale massacre.”
Grand Ayatollah Sistani highlighted the need for greater support for the Palestinian population in Gaza and emphasized the risk of further conflict in the region if Israeli atrocities continue unchecked. He also criticized the lack of international legal accountability for such crimes, holding certain world powers responsible for their failure to act.
The recent attack on the al-Tabin school in Gaza City, which left over 100 Palestinians dead and many more wounded, has drawn international condemnation. Humanitarian organizations have called for an immediate ceasefire to protect civilians, especially children, who make up a significant portion of the casualties in Gaza.
