Militant Attacks in Khyber District Leave Three Soldiers Martyred

Security forces in Khyber district faced a deadly onslaught when militants attacked several security posts, resulting in the martyrdom of three soldiers and injuries to a dozen others. Sources revealed that the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and Gul Bahadur group joined forces for this deadly attack, expanding their operations beyond their usual strongholds.

The Prime Minister praised the military for their anti-terrorism operations and paid tribute to the fallen soldiers who sacrificed their lives during the operation. The assaults took place as security forces tried to intercept militants infiltrating the Rajgal Valley from Afghanistan.

The outlawed TTP and two other banned outfits were recently labeled as Fitna al Khawarij by the government, bringing the total number of banned organizations to 81. Local sources reported an intense gun battle between security forces and militants, with the Gul Bahadur group claiming responsibility for the attack on the Zangi check-post near Bagh Markaz in Tirah.

In a separate incident, a civilian was killed and six others, including three police personnel, were injured in two separate militant attacks in Bannu district. The attacks highlight the ongoing struggle against terrorism in Pakistan.
