Sanaa reacts to Dutch ship’s Red Sea withdrawal – Yemen Press Agency

SANAA, Aug. 10 (YPA) – Deputy Foreign Minister of Sanaa, Hussein Al-Ezzi, expressed his thoughts on the withdrawal of the Dutch Support Ship ‘Karel Doorman’ from the Red Sea. Al-Ezzi described the Yemeni battle as “extremely terrifying” and criticized the ship’s defense of Israeli vessels involved in the Gaza conflict.

Addressing European nations, Al-Azzi questioned their support for Prime Minister Netanyahu, calling it a “disgrace.” The Dutch Ministry of Defense confirmed the ship’s withdrawal after completing its mission, citing the Yemeni armed forces’ missile attacks as a reason for their departure.

The ship will continue its participation with staff officers and a political advisor in Greece. The decision reflects the complexity of international relations in the conflict-ridden Red Sea region.

Overall, Al-Ezzi’s remarks highlight the ongoing tensions and political dynamics shaping the maritime security landscape in the Middle East.
