Moscow’s Military Strikes Kiev Troops Intruding Russian Territory
Moscow’s military recently released a video showcasing glide bomb strikes on Kiev’s troops who ventured into Russia’s Kursk Region. The Russian Defense Ministry shared drone footage demonstrating FAB-500 glide bombs hitting Kiev’s forces, which were originally unguided but upgraded with a Universal Correction and Guidance Module winged kit. These bombs were deployed from Su-34 fighter-bombers, leading to two impactful blasts near a road in a patch of woodland.
The Defense Ministry confirmed the destruction of targets, ensuring the safe return of the aircraft to the deployment airfield. Russian glide bombs have been actively used in the conflict with Ukraine, with Ukrainian sources describing them as “devastating.” President Putin labeled Kiev’s actions as a “large-scale provocation,” condemning indiscriminate strikes on civilians and civilian structures.
Ukrainian forces suffered significant losses during the assault in the Kursk Region, with up to 400 casualties and the destruction of heavy equipment. Moscow halted the advance, emphasizing its commitment to defending its territory against intruders.
