Oyinlola leads PDP’s reconciliation committee – The Guardian Nigeria

Former Osun State governor, Olagunsoye Oyinlola, has been appointed as the new chairman of the reconciliation committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). The PDP has established multiple reconciliation committees since 2015 to address internal conflicts within the party.

In 2016, a national reconciliation committee led by Governor Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa State was formed to reconcile feuding factions in the party. In 2018, Dickson continued as the chairman when the committee was reconstituted. In 2020, a reconciliation committee chaired by former Senate President Bukola Saraki was established to resolve disputes arising from the 2019 general elections and party congresses.

The main goal of these committees is to address internal conflicts, reconcile factions, and strengthen the party’s unity. The newly constituted committee, announced by PDP’s National Publicity Secretary, includes former deputy speaker Chibudom Nwuche and 23 other members. The party is urging all leaders, stakeholders, and members to remain focused on the party’s vision and aspirations for growth and stability.
