The victim, Moumita Debnath (31), a second-year postgraduate student of RG Kar Medical College, was found dead inside the Seminar Hall on the 3rd floor of the campus
The body of Dr. Moumita Debnath was found under mysterious circumstances at RG Kar Medical College in Kolkata. She was a second-year postgraduate student.
Kolkata Police Commissioner and forensics team are investigating, with the body taken for post-mortem.
She was last seen in the seminar hall after dinner on Thursday.
BJP leader Amit Malviya accused the government of hiding the crime and manipulating the investigation.
An investigation is ongoing into the alleged rape and murder.
