IRGC Commander highlights strong defense capabilities for engaging with enemies

In a recent ceremony, General Salami highlighted the addition of 2,654 missile, electronic warfare, and drone systems to the IRGC’s naval force, emphasizing the importance of engaging with enemies across varying distances, particularly at sea.

He stressed the necessity of Iran’s defensive capabilities being rooted in a strategic vision inspired by divine revelation and Ayatollah Khamenei’s guidance to ensure the nation’s strength and survival in a global system dominated by imperial powers.

Salami described the sea as a critical arena for defending Iran’s interests, underscoring the need to close the path of domination for enemies and imposing Iran’s will if necessary. He emphasized the importance of naval warfare, stating that Iran must be capable of engaging in the depths of the seas to prevent conflicts at its borders.

Salami also emphasized the growing role of artificial intelligence in naval operations, particularly in precision targeting and minimizing human casualties. He reaffirmed the IRGC’s commitment to enhancing Iran’s maritime defense capabilities for a stronger, more independent nation.
