Interior Minister and KP Governor Discuss Peace Efforts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
During a recent meeting between Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi and KP Governor Faisal Karim Kundi, the top priority of the federal government was reiterated as establishing peace in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The meeting, held at the Ministry of Interior in Islamabad, focused on the law and order situation in KP, particularly the recent incident in Kurram.
Both Minister Naqvi and Governor Kundi expressed grave concern over the Kurram incident and agreed to formulate a multi-faceted joint strategy to prevent such incidents in the future. They also addressed the misinformation surrounding the clash between two groups in Kurram, which led to increased tension in the area.
Minister Naqvi assured the governor of the government’s commitment to improving the law and order situation in KP, acknowledging the role of external elements in destabilizing peace efforts. Governor Kundi thanked the minister for his cooperation in efforts to establish peace in the province.
