Israel’s devastating offensive on the Gaza Strip since October 7th last year has resulted in the deaths of at least 16,314 Palestinian children, according to local authorities. Among the victims are 35 children who died of starvation due to the Israeli blockade of the enclave. The Government Media Office in Gaza reported that about 10,980 women, 885 medics, 165 journalists, and 79 members of the civil defense were also killed in the attacks.
Since October 7th, 2023, seven mass graves were discovered in Gaza, from which 520 bodies were found. Despite a UN Security Council resolution demanding an immediate ceasefire, Israel’s brutal offensive on Gaza continues, drawing international condemnation. Nearly 39,500 Palestinians, mostly women and children, have been killed and over 91,000 injured, as reported by local health authorities.
Israel has been accused of genocide at the International Court of Justice, with a ruling ordering it to end its military operation in the southern city of Rafah, where more than a million Palestinians sought refuge before being attacked on May 6th.
