NSW Police have foiled multiple murder plots by seizing eight “kill cars” in Sydney’s west. The operation took place at a Fairfield East business as part of an investigation into “unexplained wealth” across the city.
Police confiscated eight allegedly stolen cars, including a Hyundai hatchback and a Mercedes ute, along with 15 reportedly stolen number plates attached with velcro tape. Inside the vehicles, jerry cans were also found, raising suspicions of planned criminal activities.
According to Detective Superintendent Peter Faux, the seized vehicles were likely intended for serious crimes, such as murders and shootings, allowing criminals to evade justice. Further investigations and raids are planned to dismantle the use of such vehicles in the city.
The Organised Crime Squad has prevented future violent crimes by seizing these “kill cars,” with arrests expected to follow for those responsible for stealing and preparing the vehicles. The investigation continues to eliminate the use of such vehicles in Sydney.
