The Abyan Tribal Alliance in southern Yemen has called for the formation of a legal team to address detainees and the forcibly disappeared in STC’s prisons. They urge collaboration with authorities in various southern provinces to seek justice for the victims. The committee highlights Major Ali Ashaal Al-Jaadani’s case as a turning point, exposing the atrocities.
They praised a peaceful rally in Aden for Ashal and criticized STC forces’ brutality. The committee calls on free people to advocate for the abducted, demand truth, justice, and hold perpetrators accountable. They urge relevant bodies to disclose the fate of detainees in secret prisons.
According to human rights activist Anis al-Shrek, 80% of disappeared persons in Aden are from Abyan Governorate. The alliance’s efforts aim to bring transparency and justice for the victims while condemning the violations committed by STC forces.
