National Alliance leadership feud escalates as Kornelio Kon refuses ousting

The Battle for Control: Faction Rejects Removal of National Alliance Chairman

A power struggle within the National Alliance of Political Parties has escalated as a faction within the group refuses to accept the removal of Kornelio Kon Ngu as its chairman. The dispute came to light when Joseph Wol Modesto, the Secretary General of the Communist Party of South Sudan and a member of the National Alliance, announced the decision to oust Kon at a press conference, citing violations of the group’s regulations.

However, in a counter move, the National Alliance aligned with Kon issued a statement rejecting the removal, questioning the legality and authority of the faction attempting to depose the chairman. The statement highlighted inconsistencies in the allegations and raised doubts about the motives behind the attempted coup.

Amidst the chaos, Kon retaliated by suspending four parties from the alliance, further deepening the rift within the coalition. The power struggle underscores the complexities of political dynamics within the National Alliance of Political Parties.
