KP introduces Rs0.2m monthly house allowance for ministers, advisors

PESHAWAR: KP Government Grants House Allowance to Provincial Ministers and Advisors

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has decided to grant a house allowance of Rs200,000 per month to provincial ministers, advisors, and special assistants who do not have government residences. This decision was made during the 11th cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur.

The cabinet also approved amendments to the KP Ministers (Salaries, Allowances, and Privileges) Act of 1975, along with revisions to terms and conditions for advisors and special assistants. Among other approvals, a grant-in-aid for drug and beggars free programs in Peshawar was also sanctioned.

The meeting emphasized the rehabilitation of drug addicts, strengthening human resource deployment in merged districts, and regulation of livestock and poultry production activities. The cabinet also put forth recommendations for the upcoming National Finance Commission award, including the establishment of a 10-year grant for financial needs.

Overall, the cabinet made significant decisions in various sectors, aiming for development and improvement in the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
