Israeli army Enhances Efficiency in Gaza with Cloud Services
The Israeli army has been utilizing Amazon’s cloud service and AI tools from Microsoft and Google for military operations. According to reports by +972 Magazine and Local Call, Col. Racheli Dembinsky disclosed the use of these technologies during a presentation to military and industrial personnel. The army’s Center of Computing and Information Systems Unit manages all data processing and oversees the use of cloud storage and AI services from civilian tech giants.
Cloud services from major tech firms offer unlimited storage and advanced AI capabilities, enhancing operational efficiency in Gaza. While the army does not transfer classified information to public clouds, it stores intelligence gathered through mass surveillance of Gaza’s population on servers managed by Amazon’s AWS.
The Israeli army has significantly increased its procurement of services from Google Cloud, Amazon’s AWS, and Microsoft Azure. Amazon’s aggressive competition with Microsoft aims to become the military’s top service provider, offering endless storage for intelligence.
Despite responses from Google and Microsoft, Amazon Web Services continue to focus on making cloud technology available to all customers. With the use of cloud services and AI tools, the Israeli army has gained significant operational effectiveness in Gaza.
