The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has finalized the voter register for the Edo and Ondo governorship elections, scheduled for September and November 2024, respectively. The register includes new voters from the recent Voter Registration and successful transfers to Edo and Ondo states.
Edo State now has 2,629,025 registered voters, with 52.11% male and 47.89% female voters. The middle-aged group makes up 72.2% of voters. Ondo State, on the other hand, has 2,053,061 registered voters, with a slightly higher percentage of male voters.
INEC has made the detailed breakdown of the voter register available on its website for public access. The commission will soon release a timetable for the collection of Permanent Voter Cards for all voters, including new registrants and those who applied for transfers. Stay tuned for more updates!
