In the midst of unrest in Bangladesh, the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) has appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to protect the Hindu community and their temples. They have also called for displaced Hindus to be granted asylum under the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA).
The HJS has cautioned that without prompt intervention from the Indian government, Bangladesh may face a situation similar to Pakistan, potentially leading to a large-scale massacre of Hindus.
Amid escalating violence, the HJS has put forth urgent demands, including strict instructions to the Bangladeshi Army to cease attacks on Hindus and safeguard their properties. They have also urged for relocation of Hindus to safe areas, immediate compensation for losses, and raising the issue at the United Nations.
With concerns of potential infiltration into India, the HJS emphasizes the need for preventive measures and vigilance against further violence. They have highlighted the risk of widespread atrocities against Hindus and the importance of readiness for self-defense.
