The last missing victim of the Hamas attack on Israel, Bilha Yinon, has been identified as killed, along with her husband Yaakov. The couple’s home in Netiv Haasara was destroyed in the attack, and while Yaakov’s remains were found, Bilha’s fate remained unknown until now. After complex testing, the Israeli Defense Forces confirmed that Bilha was killed in the attack.
Their children had long accepted their mother’s death, but it is now officially declared based on findings. The couple was together in their home when the attack occurred, with their daughter Maayan recalling their last communication before the house was hit.
Maoz Yinon, their son, believes his parents did not die in vain and that they died for peace. The attack by Hamas resulted in numerous casualties and hostages taken back to Gaza, sparking a brutal military offensive and ongoing conflict. The Yinon family is now dedicated to creating a path to peace through hope and reconciliation, honoring Bilha’s legacy.
