Amman – The Cabinet recently approved an amended bylaw for the Social Security Corporation’s insurance coverage for 2024. The new changes aim to simplify installment procedures, reorganize reporting processes, and establish guidelines for including workers in flexible employment. Key revisions include regulating contribution rates for work injuries in the public sector, defining wage deduction elements, and adjusting employee inclusion across multiple facilities. The updated bylaw also focuses on incorporating self-employed workers into social security.
In addition, the Cabinet endorsed a revised bylaw for the administrative organization of the Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities for 2024. This amendment aligns with the Council’s expanded mandate, government directives on organizational development and human resources, and global advancements in disability research. The goal is to create a comprehensive system for monitoring and evaluation.
