Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, recently held a state security council meeting to assess the current security situation in the state and prevent any loss of lives and property due to potential miscreant activities during nationwide protests.

The meeting, attended by heads of security agencies, Deputy Governor, Secretary to the Government, Chief of Staff, Gbong Gwom Jos, and the Attorney General, aimed to evaluate and protect lives and property from miscreants.

Following the meeting, it was announced that the curfew imposed on Sunday would remain until the security situation improves, with essential workers exempted. The Commissioner of Police emphasized strict adherence to the curfew and revealed that 14 individuals had been arrested for violation.

The government officials urged residents to refrain from violence and support peaceful means of addressing concerns to maintain peace and security in Plateau State.
