Aussies to join US Global Entry from 2025

Good news for Aussie travelers to the US! Starting in 2025, Australia will officially join the US’ Global Entry program, making it easier for frequent visitors to expedite their immigration and customs clearance. This move signifies a deepening of ties between the two countries, as noted by Minister for Foreign Affairs, Penny Wong.

The Global Entry program will first be available in January to a select group of travelers, with plans to open it up to all eligible Australians later in the year. Additionally, participants will have the opportunity to join the TSA Pre-Check program for domestic flights within the US.

Minister for Home Affairs, Tony Burke, expressed excitement about the program, emphasizing the benefits of expedited clearance channels for eligible Australians. A new information-sharing arrangement with the US will further support the implementation of the Global Entry program.
