During his visit, Shoigu also met with Iran’s national security chief and general staff head. Recent reports suggest Iran provided Russia with ballistic missiles, deepening defense cooperation. Both Russia and Iran condemned the assassination of the Hamas leader.
Furthermore, the head of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps threatened Israel over the incident, accusing them of engaging in terrorism and aggression. Reports also reveal Mossad’s involvement in the assassination, employing Iranian security agents to carry out the attack.
