Lahore: Punjab Government Comes to Aid of Robbed German Tourist

The Punjab government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, has provided Rs500,000 in aid to German tourist Florian Berg who fell victim to a robbery in Lahore. Punjab Home Secretary Noorul Amin Mengal met with Berg to deliver the assistance personally.

Upon hearing about the incident, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz directed the police to take action and apprehend the culprits responsible for robbing Berg while he was sleeping on the roadside in Lahore. Mengal assured Berg of the government’s commitment to ensuring the security and safety of all tourists visiting Pakistan.

Berg expressed his gratitude towards the Punjab government and the people of Pakistan for their support during his time of need. Despite the unfortunate incident, he praised the beauty of the country and its people, stating that Pakistan holds a special place in his heart. The German traveler, who was on a bicycle journey through Central Asia and China, appreciated the efforts of law enforcement agencies in helping him and tracking down the robbers.
