Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, praised protesters in the state for resisting “evil political forces” attempting to exploit the ongoing protests against hunger and bad governance for their own agenda. He commended the protesters for maintaining peace and not allowing unrest to prevail, expressing gratitude for their patriotism.
In a statement released by his spokesperson, Adeleke assured the protesters of his commitment to delivering good governance and addressing their concerns. He acknowledged the protesters’ refusal to succumb to pressure and vowed to address their grievances locally while coordinating with President Bola Tinubu on national issues.
Adeleke emphasized the government’s efforts to improve food security, support farmers, and stabilize food prices. He also commended security agencies for ensuring peace and prosperity in Osun. The governor encouraged the protesters to continue peaceful demonstrations while promising to prioritize the welfare of the people.
