Opinions on 90 undocumented Ethiopians found in Joburg residence?

Over the weekend, a police rescue operation revealed a shocking discovery of 90 undocumented Ethiopians being held captive in deplorable conditions in a house in Johannesburg. The Special Task Force, along with various law enforcement agencies, uncovered the victims who were locked up and crammed into rooms.

Brigadier Athlenda Mathe stated that the STF was initially investigating a kidnapping case when they stumbled upon the group of Ethiopians. It is suspected that the victims were trafficked into South Africa, and investigations are ongoing. Additionally, the kidnapping victim related to the initial case was also found in the same house where ransom demands were made to his family.

As a result of the operation, two individuals believed to be involved in human trafficking and kidnapping were apprehended. This harrowing incident sheds light on the prevalence of illegal activities targeting vulnerable individuals in the region.
