The Council of Oman, consisting of the State Council and Majlis A’Shura, holds a significant role in shaping Oman’s legislative landscape. Through adherence to the Basic Law of the State and the Law of the Council of Oman, it contributes to the nation’s development and progress.

During its eighth term, the State Council focused on key issues such as the state budget for 2024 and draft laws like the ‘Draft Law on the Protection of Bank Deposits’ and the ‘Draft Media Law’. The council also worked closely with the Council of Ministers to address proposals and studies.

Collaborating with Majlis A’Shura, the State Council established special committees to study various topics, including income diversification and the role of local flora in the economy. Additionally, it hosted events with specialists from both the public and private sectors to discuss national efforts and development plans.

Overall, the Council of Oman embodies a commitment to national growth and effective governance through its collaborative legislative processes with the ultimate aim of enhancing Oman’s future.
