Israel Strikes Schools in Gaza, Killing Dozens of Displaced Palestinians
Recent airstrikes by Israel’s occupation forces have resulted in the tragic deaths of at least 30 displaced Palestinians, with 80% of the victims being children. The targeted schools in Gaza City, al-Nasr and Hassan Salama, were serving as shelters for those forced from their homes.
Palestinian Civil Defense spokesman, Mahmoud Basal, described the attacks as a “massacre in every sense of the word” and emphasized the devastating impact on innocent civilians, especially children. Ambulance teams from Palestine Red Crescent continue to search for survivors amidst the rubble, highlighting the ongoing horrors faced by those in Gaza.
Hamas also condemned the bombings, calling out Israel for committing “massacres against civilians in cold blood.” The international community is urged to intervene and hold the perpetrators accountable for these heinous crimes.
These attacks are part of a larger pattern of violence, with over 1,040 people killed in similar assaults on schools and centers for the displaced. The victims are primarily women and children, underscoring the urgent need for global action to end the cycle of violence in Gaza.
Despite the ongoing atrocities, the resilient spirit of the Palestinian people remains strong as they endure unimaginable loss and suffering at the hands of the Israeli regime.
