Pezeshkian commended Russia for its support for the Palestinian people and condemned the crimes of the Zionist regime. Sergei Shoigu, Russia’s National Security Council Secretary, recognized Iran as a key ally in the region, expressing satisfaction with the growing bilateral relations. Shoigu emphasized the importance of joint projects like the North-South Corridor and collaboration in international organizations.
Shoigu’s visit with a military delegation signals a deepening of ties between Iran and Russia. Major General Ali Bagheri reiterated the enduring nature of relations, unaffected by changes in government. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to comprehensive cooperation in regional affairs, condemning acts of aggression and seeking to strengthen ties under the new administration.
