Moscow Patriot Park director, Vyacheslav Akhmedov, and Deputy Head of the Main Directorate for Innovative Development of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Major General Vladimir Shesterov, have been arrested for their involvement in fraudulent activities. The Investigative Committee of Russia announced this on their Telegram channel.

The accused individuals, along with others, are accused of embezzling funds designated for Patriot Park’s operations.
The Army-2024 international military and technical forum scheduled to be held in Patriot Park in August 2024 is now uncertain due to these events. Approximately 40 million rubles have been identified as stolen funds. The Investigative Committee has interrogated park employees, including the director and accountant, during search operations.
