Exploring the New Realities in South Caucasus
The recent episode of the Dialogue with Tofig Abbasov video series on Baku Network featured Gulshan Pashayeva from the Center for Analysis of International Relations of Azerbaijan. Pashayeva highlighted the need for Yerevan to adapt to the changing dynamics in the region, particularly in the aftermath of the Second Karabakh War.
She emphasized that Armenia is facing internal contradictions that are also exploited by external forces hindering the peace process. Pashayeva acknowledged the progress towards normalization between Azerbaijan and Armenia but pointed out the remaining challenges that need to be addressed.
“Armenia must come to terms with the new realities in the South Caucasus. While many believe peace is within reach, there are still significant hurdles that require resolution,” she stated.
