The Sanaa-based Fund for the Care and Rehabilitation of the Disabled has initiated the distribution of educational aid for disabled students for the academic year 2023-2024. A total of 246,651,200 riyals has been allocated to support approximately 2,469 male and female students with disabilities, including those in areas outside the control of the Sanaa government in Taiz.
The first installment includes 544 students in Taiz, amounting to 47 million riyals, and 21,710,000 riyals disbursed for university dues. Dr. Ali Nasser Mughli, the executive director of the fund, emphasized the importance of ensuring that aid reaches students directly without any discrepancies.
Transferring educational aid to disabled students is not only a legal obligation but also a moral responsibility of the Fund to alleviate financial burdens and uphold the rights of these students. The management is dedicated to providing support to enhance educational opportunities for all students with disabilities.
By prioritizing the well-being and education of disabled students, the Fund aims to create a more inclusive and supportive learning environment for all individuals, irrespective of their abilities.
