West Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose shared his views on Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, stating he respects her as an individual and has professional relations, but finds the “politician Mamata Banerjee” not to his liking.
In an interview with PTI, the Governor highlighted their differences and mentioned the complexity of their relationship.
Bose elaborated on the various personas of Mamata Banerjee and emphasized his positive relationships with her as an individual and Chief Minister, while maintaining a distance from her political persona.
The Governor also addressed the allegations against him, stating that the charges of sexual harassment were dismissed in an in-house inquiry report.
He expressed his commitment to upholding the Constitution and ensuring the well-being of the people of West Bengal, hinting at possible actions based on the state’s financial management.
Bose urged the state government to provide a White Paper on the state’s finances for a better assessment before any decisions are made.
He emphasized his intention to correct rather than accuse, indicating that his actions will be guided by the information provided in the White Paper.
