Sudan Denies Famine in North Darfur Camp Amidst Warnings of Severe Food Shortage

Aid agency Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) revealed alarming statistics of child mortality in Zamzam camp, highlighting the urgent need for assistance. The Federal Humanitarian Aid Commission in Sudan disputes claims of famine, blaming the crisis on the blockade by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in the region.
With dwindling supplies, MSF warns of a looming catastrophe if aid is not promptly delivered. The RSF has expressed solidarity with famine victims and offered to collaborate with the UN for aid distribution.
