Russia’s Nuclear Fallout Monitoring Drone: A Veiled Threat?

The CEO of the Center for Integrated Unmanned Solutions (CUS) unveiled a “doomsday” drone designed to monitor radiation levels in the event of nuclear attacks, as reported by the Russian TASS news agency. The drone, part of the Khrust project, is equipped with systems to check radiation levels and transmit real-time images for remote control. It can be stored alongside monitoring equipment and has a flight time of up to 20 minutes with a range of 2 kilometers.

Dmitry Kuzyakin stressed the importance of pilot training for operating the drone effectively, particularly in challenging environments. The announcement follows escalating threats of nuclear weapon use against Ukraine and NATO from Putin and Kremlin-linked individuals. This new development may suggest Moscow’s preparation for such scenarios.

Despite hopes that the world will avoid nuclear war, Kuzyakin emphasized the necessity of preparing for worst-case scenarios with the doomsday drone. The drone serves as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of personnel in the face of potential nuclear threats.\
