This statement follows the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, a leader of the Palestinian Hamas group, in Tehran. The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps has attributed the attack to Israel, with the US government’s alleged support. In response, Iran has declared that Israel will face severe consequences for its actions. This incident occurred concurrently with the assassination of Fuad Shukr, a senior Hezbollah commander, in Beirut. These targeted killings coincide with Israel’s ongoing genocidal campaign in Gaza, resulting in the deaths of thousands of Palestinians.
