Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu, distributed bags of rice in Abia state to ease the hardship of the citizens. During the event, he welcomed former presidential aspirant Dr. Cosmos Ndukwe to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and emphasized President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s commitment to developing the South East region.
Kalu highlighted the significance of the South East Development Commission (SEDC) bill signed into law by President Tinubu, stating it demonstrates the administration’s dedication to the region’s progress. Expressing gratitude to the residents, he distributed rice, fertilizers, and cash gifts to support agriculture and encouraged continued support for the APC government.
The event took place in Ward C, Akanu Item, in Bende local government area, where Ndukwe, a respected politician, officially joined APC. Kalu praised Ndukwe’s political track record and urged the community to embrace the new member. The visit included distribution of aid to various groups, reinforcing Kalu’s commitment to serving his constituency.
