F-16s not a quick fix for Kiev – Kremlin – RT Russia & FSU

In a recent statement, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov expressed his belief that Western-supplied fighter jets, such as the recently delivered F-16s to Ukraine, will not have a significant impact on the battlefield and are likely to be destroyed. Peskov emphasized that these planes will not be a “magic pill” for Kiev and will eventually be shot down and eliminated, unable to alter the conflict’s outcome.

The delivery of the US-made jets was reported by Bloomberg, although the specific supplier remains unconfirmed. Despite the formation of an F-16 coalition by several NATO states to provide jets and training to Ukrainian pilots, Moscow has consistently warned that Western weapons will not change the course of the conflict, and the Russian military is prepared to neutralize any Ukrainian military hardware, including fighter jets.

Kiev has not officially acknowledged the jet delivery, and Ukrainian Defense Ministry spokeswoman Diana Davityan declined to comment on the issue. As tensions persist, the fate of these Western-supplied jets in the ongoing conflict remains uncertain.
