A recent report by the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth uncovered that tens of thousands of Israeli soldiers have been killed or wounded in the ongoing conflict in Gaza. Over 10,000 soldiers are missing from the IDF, with around a thousand more suffering physical and mental wounds. Despite these alarming statistics, efforts to extend compulsory military service continue, causing frustration among soldiers.
The dire conditions faced by Israeli soldiers in the conflict have raised concerns, with casualties reported as far back as October 7. The ongoing genocide in Gaza has resulted in widespread devastation, with thousands of Palestinian casualties, including women and children. International condemnation has been directed at Israel for its brutal offensive, which has led to mass displacement and acute famine in the region.
