The 30th Sarajevo Film Festival’s In Focus programme features a selection of daring films that tackle diverse topics in courageous ways. Curated by Elma Tataragić, the programme includes premieres from prestigious festivals like Berlinale, Cannes, and Locarno. The lineup showcases films like “Celebration”, exploring extremism post-WWII, “Crossing”, following Lia’s search for her niece in Turkey, “MMXX”, revealing interconnected stories, “Moon”, a tale of a former MMA fighter in the Middle East, “The Devil’s Bath”, a religiously charged drama in 1750 Upper Austria, “The Shameless”, a story of escape from a Delhi brothel, and “When The Phone Rang”, exploring memory and dislocation through a pivotal phone call.
