Eastern Cape police are on the lookout for a team of armed individuals who kidnapped a 41-year-old woman in Gqeberha. The incident took place outside her workplace in Deal Party on Friday, as reported by Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg. The abduction occurred on Old Grahamstown Road around 17:45, with the suspects forcibly taking the victim from her vehicle into theirs, before driving off towards New Brighton.
The motive behind the kidnapping is currently unknown, and a case has been registered with the police. Rajathi Gnanaraj’s husband was left unharmed as the suspects changed vehicles during their escape.
