Hamas envoy in Tehran claims Haniyeh died from projectile

Khaled Qaddoumi, Hamas’ representative in Iran, recently shared details about the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh and his aide in Tehran. He debunked reports of a bomb planted at Haniyeh’s residence, clarifying the events leading up to the tragedy.

Haniyeh, accompanied by senior Hamas officials, attended President Pezeshkian’s swearing-in ceremony before visiting an exhibition in Tehran. Upon returning to his known residence, an explosion occurred, resulting in Haniyeh’s untimely death.

Qaddoumi dismissed claims of a smuggled bomb and suggested an aerial projectile caused the attack. He accused Israel of orchestrating the assassination with American backing, linking it to Netanyahu’s recent visit to Washington.

Haniyeh’s martyrdom is viewed as a tragic loss in the ongoing Gaza conflict. Qaddoumi vowed to use his sacrifice as fuel for the resistance against Israeli occupation and the eventual liberation of Palestine.

Despite attempts to shift blame, Qaddoumi remains steadfast in seeking justice for Haniyeh’s assassination and continuing the fight for Palestinian freedom.
