In a bid to handle the disposal of bodies, the Kerala government has laid out detailed procedures including DNA sampling for identification purposes. Unclaimed bodies will be buried after a 72-hour waiting period, with proper documentation maintained by the district administration.
The community is coming together to support those affected, with MLAs and MPs visiting the impacted villages. Despite the challenges posed by the natural calamity, efforts are being made to restore normalcy in the region.
