Aboyeji denounces corruption, advises on using God’s name at convocation

The General Overseer of Foursquare Gospel Church, Revd. Sam Aboyeji, emphasized the importance of fulfilling obligations with God before using His covenanted names in prayers. He highlighted the significance of the believer’s relationship with God in benefiting from His Covenant names.

Speaking at the Foursquare Gospel Church 2024 Molete District Convocation themed ‘El-Shaddai: The Almighty God,’ Rev. Aboyeji explained that invoking God’s Covenant names requires adhering to certain conditions. He cited the example of God revealing Himself as El-Shaddai to Abraham, showcasing His power by granting him Isaac at an advanced age.

Addressing the issue of corruption in the nation, the cleric urged the government to take decisive actions against corrupt officials to restore sanity. Molete District Overseer Rev. Gabriel Akomolafe encouraged a firm belief in God’s covenant name ‘El-Shaddai’ for the fulfillment of needs.

Furthermore, the convocation’s success was attributed to prayer and faith by the Chairman, Brother David Oluwaremilekun, who thanked God for the event. The call for policies to restore hope and boost the economy was also echoed.
