In a tragic incident, five Palestinians lost their lives in a drone strike carried out by the Israeli occupation on a vehicle on the Zeita-Attil Road, northeast of Tulkarm in the occupied West Bank. The bodies of the victims, brought to the Thabet Thabet Government Hospital in Tulkarm, were severely burnt, making identification difficult. Only one victim, Haytham Nouriddin Bleidi, 25, from the Tulkarm refugee camp, was identified.
Israeli media reported that the vehicle was hit with two missiles in the attack. Following the strike, the area was cordoned off by occupation forces, restricting access for residents. Despite this, medics and locals were able to retrieve the bodies and transport them to the hospital.
In response to the tragedy, Palestinian factions called for a one-day public strike and declared a day of mourning for the victims. Furthermore, Israeli occupation forces conducted raids in various areas of the West Bank, leading to a number of arrests.
