The UAE Public Prosecution revealed the formation of a new “secret organization” by former members of the dissolved UAE Muslim Brotherhood, with the goal of reviving the group. The State Security Service uncovered meetings of fugitive Brotherhood members abroad, leading to the formation of this new group funded by sources within the UAE and other terrorist organizations.
An arrested member detailed the organization’s activities, including smear campaigns against the UAE, spreading false information to international human rights groups, and collaborating with other terror groups. The group operated under false identities, using fronts like the Cordoba Foundation to maintain its presence.
Led by Anas Altikriti, a Brotherhood leader residing abroad, the organization engaged in activities to weaken confidence in the UAE Government and incite actions against official institutions. The investigations are ongoing to uncover more details about the group’s crimes and operations.
