Additionally, a three-member committee of top intelligence officials has been formed to aid in the recovery of missing persons, following an order from the Islamabad High Court. The government has approved recommendations from a report presented by a cabinet committee, focusing on providing urgent support to families facing economic hardships due to missing persons.
The package, noted the law minister, is not compensation but a form of support until the matter is resolved. The committee will prioritize cases based on legal mechanisms, with over 2,000 cases identified. A special committee will determine eligibility for families to receive the support package.
Furthermore, details about the allocation and disbursement process are being worked out by a committee formed by the prime minister. The government aims to address the issue within a legal framework and provide necessary assistance to affected families.
