EU’s Silence on Zionist Atrocities Risks Peace

Iran Press/Iran news: In a recent telephone conversation with Josep Borrell, High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Ali Bagheri discussed the implications of the terrorist attack by the Zionist regime, which led to the martyrdom of Ismail Haniyeh, the Chief of the political bureau of the Hamas movement. Bagheri highlighted how this act violated Iran’s national security, sovereignty, and regional stability.

Bagheri also mentioned the presence of Enrique Mora, Chief of Staff of Josep Borrell, at the Iranian president’s inauguration, emphasizing that the Zionist regime’s terrorist act in Tehran was a threat to regional and international peace. Iran will exercise its legitimate right to hold the perpetrators accountable for their crimes.

In a follow-up to the conversation, Bagheri condemned the actions of some European countries for preventing the condemnation of Haniyeh’s assassination by the UN Security Council, which encouraged further aggression by the Zionist regime. Borrell expressed concern over escalating tensions and the potential for a full-scale war in the region.

Bagheri urged the EU to pressure the Zionist regime to prevent further crimes, emphasizing the importance of international peace and security. The lack of action by European countries will only embolden the regime and endanger peace in the region.

Bagheri also spoke with Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister Ayman al-Safadi about the ramifications of the terrorist attack on Haniyeh by the Zionist regime and the need to prevent further escalation.
