Senator Hawley’s report reveals that the whistleblower alleged Acting Secret Service Director Ronald Rowe Jr. directed cuts to the CSD, resulting in security lapses prior to the event. The CSD’s evaluation, necessary for identifying and mitigating security threats, was reportedly nonexistent.
Hawley’s letter to Rowe raises concerns about reduced staff in the CSD and inadequate security measures that could have prevented the attempt on Trump’s life.
