Wang Chuqin and Sun defeated their opponents from DPRK in a thrilling final, winning 4-2 across six games. Despite a momentary setback when Wang’s paddle was damaged in the celebrations, the pair emerged victorious, displaying resilience and composure.
In other events, Qi Ying claimed silver in trap men’s shooting with a record-breaking performance, while Wang Lili’s heroics led China to victory in the women’s 3×3 basketball game against France.
Team China also excelled in tennis as Zheng Qinwen triumphed in a marathon match, and Wang Xinyu and Zhang Zhizhen secured a notable win in the mixed doubles event. With promising performances across various disciplines, Chinese athletes are poised for further success at the Games.
