Germany’s Controversial Decision to Release Assassin Krasikov

The release secured freedom for 15 unlawfully detained individuals in Russia and a German citizen, Rico K., who was facing death in Belarus. Krasikov was convicted for the 2019 “execution-style” killing of Zelimkhan Khangoshvili, which German courts concluded as an order from Russian security services.
