Parliament committee reviews wiretapping case despite opposition criticism.

The Committee on Institutions and Transparency will convene to discuss the recent Supreme Court ruling on the wiretapping case involving illegal spyware. Supreme Court Prosecutor Georgia Adeilini stated that the spyware found on various phones was not linked to state services.

Opposition parties have criticized the ruling and are requesting the case file to be presented in Parliament. Government spokesperson Pavlos Marinakis rebuked the opposition’s call for judiciary representatives to appear before Parliament, emphasizing that such requests are inappropriate and invalid.

The debate surrounding the wiretapping case has raised questions about the Greek justice system’s transparency and integrity, leading to a clash between the government and opposition parties.
